Smart Color Lighting, Installed: Cooper HALO with WiZ Pro
Cooper's HALO WiZ Pro Dual Zone downlights, installed in a real home and run from Apple HomeKit. Below is what 16 million colors and two independently controlled zones look like in an actual ceiling, not a catalog photo.
See it at our counter. Cooper sent us a working HALO WiZ Pro counter display: a 4-inch Dual Zone downlight (RLWZDZC4) wired to a WiZ Smart Wi-Fi Room Controller (CWW-TW-SCENE-WH). Stop in, press the buttons and watch the center light and ring change.
What it is. HALO WiZ Pro is a line of LED recessed downlights from Cooper Lighting Solutions with Wi-Fi built in. Each light does full color plus tunable white, from warm candlelight (2200K) to cool daylight (6500K). No hub is needed: they connect straight to the home's existing Wi-Fi.
Two ways to install.
- Retrofit trims (RL series): screw into an existing 4" or 5/6" recessed can with the included E26 adapter. The easy upgrade for rooms that already have cans.
- Slim canless downlights (HLB series): a thin fixture with its own remote driver box, for new construction and remodels where there is no can.
What it does.
- 16 million colors plus tunable white, set by the WiZ app or by voice.
- Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, IFTTT and SmartThings. Newer models also work with Apple HomeKit and Matter (HomeKit is what's running in our video).
- Schedules and "Rhythms" that shift color temperature through the day, the way sunlight does.
- WiZclick: flip the existing wall switch to toggle between two saved scenes.
- 90 CRI, so colors and skin tones look natural. Rated for wet or damp locations.
- Light output equal to a 60–75 watt bulb, at a fraction of the energy.
Setup for homeowners and for installers. Homeowners claim and control the lights with the free WiZ app. Electrical contractors get the WiZ Pro Setup app, which lets you claim fixtures before the customer's Wi-Fi is ready and manage several jobs from one dashboard.
The models
All nine are 120V, 90+ CRI, full color plus tunable white (2200K–6500K), with a 5-year warranty. We don't keep these on the shelf; we order the model that fits your job.

Wall control: CWW-TW-SCENE-WH, the WiZ Smart Wi-Fi Room Controller. A wall control for on/off, dimming, white tuning and four saved scenes, with no hub needed. It's the switch on our counter display.
The RA4 adjustable and Dual Zone models are the newer generation: they add SpaceSense motion detection (the lights double as motion sensors), music sync, Bluetooth pairing, and work with Matter and Apple HomeKit. The Dual Zone lets the center light and the outer ring run different colors at once.
